This requires having a clear understanding of modeling as a whole: the objectives, the integration into the development process, the formalisms, the stages... there are so many points to anticipate in order to build data models.

Be able to describe the stages and levels of modeling, present the main approaches, build data schemas, and evaluate the quality, weaknesses, and improvements of a data organization.
