Course Details

Course Objective:

To provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to conduct civil construction backhoe / loader operations for a range of mandatory tasks, the fitting, use and removal of attachments and operator maintenance activities.

 

Unit of Competency:

  • RIIMPO319E – Conduct Backhoe/ Loader Operations

 

Course Content:

  • Plan and prepare for backhoe/loader operations

  • Operate backhoe/loader in line with established requirements 

  • Load, carry and place materials to complete work activity

  • Select, remove, fit and use attachments for a backhoe/loader

  • Relocate the backhoe/loader

  • Conduct housekeeping activities 

 

Assessment:

  • Theory Assessment

  • Practical Demonstration & Assessment

 

Course Prerequisites:

  • Ability to use and understand basic English

  • Ability to use and understand basic math 

  • Participants must provide identification and be 18 years of age or over to be assessed
