Course Details

Here at Western Training, we cover skills pertaining to planning and preparing for operations, conducting machine pre-operational checks, operating the Excavator, excavating or loading materials, operational techniques, removing and fitting attachments, loading and unloading the Excavator, carrying out machine operator maintenance and housekeeping requirements.

The unit consists of a theoretical assessment to be completed, practical observations witnessed by a qualified assessor, followed by the completion of job cards relating to the practical skills performed.

We are a nationally recognised training organisation, candidates that successfully complete the course will be provided with a statement of attainment and competency card for RIIMPO320F Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations.

Practical assessments and VOC (verification of competency) can be performed at the candidate’s worksite provided adequate machinery is available to conduct the assessment.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have good verbal and written comprehension of the English language
  • Must have good general health and fitness for practicals
  • Must wear long sleeved shirt, long leg pants and steel cap boots
  • Must hold a USI (unique student identifier) number.
