This unit covers conducting skid steer loader operations in the civil construction industry.
It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating skid steer loaders; lifting, carrying and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the skid steer loaders; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

This qualification reflects the role of fire, rescue and response team members who are trained to respond to emergencies, undertake search and rescue, operate breathing apparatus and deal with hazardous and/or highly dangerous situations in a team environment.
This course is for those who are required to enter and work in confined spaces in accordance with issued permits and interpret atmospheric readings.
In order to improve outcomes, all candidates in the Basic Scaffolding course will be required to show completion of RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights unit. This can be completed through Breight Education prior to the start of the basic scaffold course.Â
