Learn in a simulated construction site but a controlled environment, at our training yard at Stapylton. Off the M1, Yatala North exit halfway between the Gold Coast and Brisbane near the end of the Logan Motorway.
Roller Ticket Course Overview
This roller training course overview describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a roller to compact material. This unit applies to those working in site based roles.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors, and must be sourced from state jurisdictions prior to applying this unit.
In Queensland, there is no licensing requirement to operate a roller. As such competence in this unit (code RIIMPO317F) will allow a competent person to operate a roller in Queensland.
Upon successful completion of this unit, the participant will receive a Statement of Attainment and a card issued by On the Job Training (RTO 70023) to prove competence on sites.
This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisting someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and unload plant or equivalent.
