It includes planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating the telescopic materials handler; attaching, securing, lifting, carrying and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the telescopic materials handler; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up
Material Supplied:
All required training material is supplied by MBE training. Tele handler to be supplied by client
Assessment: Trainees will undertake a theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment.
Outcome:
Once competence is achieved, trainees will receive a Statement of Attainment for RIIHAN309E - Conduct telescopic materials handler operations as well as a wallet card with the trainee’s photo

It provides an introduction to explosion-protected equipment and explains how to read hazardous area classification drawings and interpret equipment markings. Safe systems of work and safety issues such as toxicity are also covered.
This course will provide students with the fundamental skills to respond to an incident involving dangerous goods and hazardous substances and who have the skills and knowledge to identify and assess the hazards and risks and contribute to the development
