Course Focus:
Review sections of the Saskatchewan OHS regulations regarding confined space
Identify requirements for confined space work
Evaluate and develop an entry plan
This course may be eligible for BCRSP CPD points through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety professionals as well as Continuing Education Units through the Sask Operator Certification board
The construction industry funds the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) to provide cost-effective, accessible safety training and advice.
The SCSA aims to reduce the human and financial cost of injuries. Registered March 22, 1995, the SCSA is, since inception, committed to injury prevention. Today the SCSA serves almost 10,000 member companies.
This course provides workers with the basic fall prevention information they require to work safely in areas where they may be exposed to fall hazards.
The student is taught how to implement a WHMIS Program in compliance with existing legislation. Every effort will be made to address concerns to the participants' requirements.
The asbestos awareness course will be up to four (4) hours and will include a brief overview of the following topics: Introduction to asbestos and asbestos-containing materials Health effects of exposure to asbestos Legislation requirements relating to asbestos Asbestos control measures
This is not necessarily the case! Employers are obligated under the concept of “Due Diligence” to be prepared in the event that this happens. This course establishes the groundwork to start becoming prepared.
This course is designed for those who are expected to work at heights. Before being exposed to the risk of a fall, workers must be educated and trained in how to protect themselves.
