Confined Space Awareness

To train individuals to be aware of the dangers of confined spaces; appreciate the roles and equipment involved with regard to allowing persons to enter, work in, and exit confined spaces.

The course covers:

• Definitions, Risks, and Hazards
• Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and Permits to Work
• Procedures for Entry, Environmental Monitoring, and Ventilation
• Confined space equipment used
• Confined space roles and responsibilities
• Emergency procedures

The course will enable delegates to:

• Identify a confined space
• Have knowledge of relevant assessments, systems, and permits that are available
• Have a knowledge of environmental monitoring, ventilation, and other control measures
• Appreciate the importance of controlling entry into the risk
• Know the roles and responsibilities of a Confined Space Manager, Confined Space Supervisor, and Confined Space entrant
• Be aware of emergency procedures under confined space regulations and how operations are terminated
