DurationThe target group is all personnel who want to gain knowledge of safe working with Confined Space. It is beneficial for site managers, engineers, safety officers, confined space entrants, and supervisors.
During the course, delegates will raise their level of awareness of safe rigging practices to be utilized by riggers as per standard practice. This course will provide the delegate with information on the various items (rigging equipment and gear) with which he/she will come in contact and the practices that must be performed while performing rigging duties.
To complete this training, the delegate must successfully complete the learning outcomes via a written test and practical assessment.
This training course content is as follows:
Give an example of the result of incorrect use of lifting components and how this can be avoided.
Show knowledge of the regulations regarding marking, documentation, use maintenance, daily inspection, and discard of lifting gear. Choose the correct lifting equipment and show the correct methods of use.
Develop and follow a lifting plan and risk assessment.
Sling various types of loads according to size, weight, shape, and centre of gravity.
Blind lifts.
Choosing the correct lifting equipment.
Visual check of slings and lifting accessories; theoretical and practical assessments
