Confined Space Awareness

This course is suitable for anyone who is required to enter a Confined Space in their daily working duties.

Course Aims & Objectives

The course covers what a confined space is, key legislation, key responsibilities of employers and employees, the main hazards, assessing the risk, safe systems of work, permit to work procedures, key emergency arrangements and plant and equipment.

• Why they need to know about confined spaces
• What a confined space is
• Their main responsibilities under UK legislation relating to confined spaces
• The key dangers associated with confined spaces and the importance of applying appropriate control measures and emergency arrangements

Certification

On completion of the course and successfully passing the required testing, the delegates are awarded a certificate that complies with the recommendations of the Health and Safety commission approved code of practice. It is recommended that this course is refreshed every 3 years.
