In this half-day course, we look at the nature of these dangers, how to properly risk assess work in such a confined spaces, ways to avoid the need for entry, and emergency procedures.
Course Outline
Overview
This course covers the following modules: Health & Safety Law and Confined Space Regulations; What is confined space; types of confined space; exercise, risk assessment and hazards; safe systems of work and emergency procedure.
Aims and Objectives
This course aims to give individuals a thorough understanding of what confined spaces are, the dangers of confined spaces and how to avoid them. They will learn of different techniques but this will not enable individuals to enter or work in confined spaces.
This is a half-day course.
Prerequisites
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, learners are expected to have a good understanding of both spoken and written English.
Who Should Attend
This course provides delegates with the basic skills and knowledge of confined spaces and how to identify spaces that have the potential to become Confined, and subsequently avoid them. It will also make them aware of the risks and the current legal obligations involved in such workplaces. It does not permit working in Confined Spaces.

Learners will be given a Certificate of Attendance on successful completion of the course, valid for 3 years.
