About Us
In 1995, Guelph was lacking a business whose sole purpose was to provide safety to the people of Guelph and surrounding area so Kevin Gortmaker, his father Karl and sister Loretta embarked on a journey and created Probuy Safety Solutions.
Probuy became one of the first online e-commerce safety companies in the late 1990's. They were overwhelmed when frantic Americans called wanting to protect themselves and their families from biological warfare following the tragic events of 9/11.
Soon after the dust from 9/11 settled, calls again came pouring in due to the fear from SARS. Here they are again keeping people safe from the latest threat of Covid-19. They are passionate about keeping their customers safe on the job and at home. With their motto being “Safety is all we do” they now carry or have access to thousands of safety products.
Through this course, participants are instructed in safe operating techniques, how to perform thorough inspections, and effective maintenance procedures. The contents of this RPE trai ning course covers the following types of respiratory protective equipment: Air-purifying respirator (APR).
When workers are required to work in confined spaces, confined spaces awareness training is required by law and is vital if incidents, injuries, and deaths are to be eliminated.
This confined space awareness course will provide participants with the information needed to understand the potential hazards of working in these spaces and the elements necessary to control those hazards prior to entry.
Training for individuals who use propane powered construction heaters (up to 400,000 BTUH) and hand-held torches. Students who only require instruction on the safe use of hand-held torches may take P?T?I’s 400-08 – Propane Torches course instead of this course.
