Medium Risk Confined Space training concentrates on two different methods of entry to confined spaces and is suitable for those nominated to make low risk shallow entries with adequate ventilation, natural or mechanical,where access is simple and unobstructed and there is no likely risk of flooding.
Medium Risk Confined Space training concentrates on two different methods of entry to confined spaces and is suitable for those nominated to make low risk shallow entries with adequate ventilation, natural or mechanical, where access is simple and unobstructed and there is no likely risk of flooding.
Method 1:
Entering a confined space, no deeper than three metres
Method 2:
Entering a confined space, deeper than 3 metres but with an unobstructed vertical lift, with a straight ladder into a dark chamber.
The course covers both methods of entry and includes staying on a lifeline to complete the task, where if they were to collapse the retrieval equipment would be operated and removal from the lifeline would be possible with a rescue team deployed.
Upon completion, delegates will be able to demonstrate two methods of entry into a medium risk confined space.

Prerequisites
The candidate must be 18 years of age.
