Why is confined space entry and monitor training important?
The New Zealand Department of labor calculated that working in a confined space was 150 times more dangerous than doing the same task outside of a confined space.
Hazards in confined spaces are significant, oxygen deficiency, toxic gases, asphyxiates, mechanical hazards, and engulfment are just a few of potential threats to life. Training increases your awareness, and ability to recognize dangerous situations.
