The current TDG laws have been with us for over 30 years. Over that time, the training component has stayed very consistent. Well, that is all about to change!
Last year, the Canadian General Standards Board created a new standard - CAN/CGSB-192.3-2020: Transportation of dangerous goods training, assessment and competency. This new standard radically changes how TDG training should be done.
Transport Canada has now stated they will adopt the new standard into law, requiring employers to create new documents and upgrade the way they train anyone involved in TDG.
At your workplace or our modern training facility, SafestWork provides expert and engaging safety training to help prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to understand the regulations that address fall protection, identify risks, and fall hazards, and describe safe work procedures to prevent falls on site. Valid for 3 years.
The operators are obligated to be trained on the equipment, usage, inspection and identification on potential risk (CSA B354.2-01 – Article 7.1)
Confined spaces can be an extremely dangerous work environment. Identifying, understanding, and controlling the hazards provides workers with the ability to safely perform their duties within, or when monitoring these environments.
This course provides participants with insight on identifying hazards with any machinery, substances, production processes, working conditions and procedures in the workplace.
