Demonstrating Competency

The Work Safely at Heights course focuses on the training and assessment in skills to perform work with a harness at heights. This may include working on an elevated work platform, roof, structure or any area where a fall hazard exists.
The Scissor Lift EWP Verification of Competency (VOC) course is aimed at participants who currently hold a Scissor Lift EWPA licence – i.e. EWPA Operator Licence (EWP) for a Scissor Lift (SL).
This course has been developed to comply with the Australian Work Health and Safety Regulations. This course is designed to provide training in relation to the risks involved in the workplace and provides safe work procedures when working at heights.
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a HRWL licence to operate this plant.
All electrical equipment is required to be tested and tagged, with testing intervals varying across industries. As an example, if you work in the Construction, Mining or Demolition industries, test and tag needs to be completed every three months.
