Professional Training Associates, Inc. (PTA) is a partnership-based small business formed in 1998 by like-minded safety & health training professionals who felt the need to create a company that could develop and deliver training curriculum, freely, in a manner that was not possible under previous business restraints.
In April of that year, PTA with assistance from the Steel Valley Authority began operations at 1 Library Place in Duquesne, Pennsylvania. Quickly outgrowing its original space, PTA moved its current training center to the historic Stores Building location at the former US Steel Duquesne Works.
Our company provides environmental and safety training and program development services to a broad-based clientele in the industrial, commercial, manufacturing, construction, consulting, government and educational sectors.
PTA provides a wide variety of courses including Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint, Hazwoper, DOT Hazmat, IATA, RCRA, Confined Space Entry, Construction Safety Outreach and Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA). Many of these courses are conducted at our Training Center in Duquesne; however, PTA routinely conducts standard and customized courses on site at our clients facilities or online using our virtual classroom.
