Medium Risk Confined Space training course consisting of both theory and practical exercises relating to working in confined spaces. This course will provide delegates with a thorough understanding of confined spaces, associated dangers and the ability to enter, work and leave safely by horizontal and / or vertical entry in line with the Confined Spaces Regulations (1997).
This is an essential training course for operatives who carry out or intend to carry out work in confined spaces. This 2 day course also covers the use of full breathing apparatus, for use when the air in a confined space is known not to be breathable.
Who Should Attend?
This course is designed to provide delegates that need to enter Confined Spaces and Hazardous Areas with an in-depth understanding of the requirements of the law, associated legislation, Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments. This course includes competent use of appropriate confined space equipment and practical assessments covering access, egress and safe working practices in Medium Risk Confined Spaces and Hazardous areas.

This qualification focuses on the delegate’s ability to enter and work in Medium-risk confined spaces which have been risk assessed.
The delegates will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to:
Verify isolation from risk
Establish a safety zone at the access and egress point
Establish and maintain an appropriate communication system
Set out and interpret atmosphere monitors
Maintain safe working procedures for work being done
