Confined Spaces

The purpose of this course is to provide you with knowledge and skill to be capable to safely perform procedures and policies relating to entering, working in and exiting from confined spaces.

This course will also provide you with the knowledge to be able to identify confined space hazards and precautions required to work safely.

• Recognising personal protective equipment (PPE) used in confined spaces
• Discussing emergency equipment

Recognise the roles, responsibilities and training for work in confined spaces by:

• Interpreting the roles and responsibilities of role players for work in confined spaces
• Interpreting the training requirements for work in confined spaces

Review the procedure for work in confined spaces and confined space entry programme by:

• Discussing the confined space programme objectives
• Planning the confined space entry
• Discussing the preparation of the confined space for entry
• Discussing emergency procedures
