Aims & Objectives
The course aims to provide members of the surgical team with an understanding of the causes and impact of conflict in the workplace. It will give them skills to address and diffuse challenging situations and help foster closer working relationships leading to more productive teamwork.
To enable delegates to support multi-disciplinary working as outlined in CiP 5 (Managing multi-disciplinary working) of the surgical curriculum, and provide evidence and support for the GMC General Professional Capabilities, which will help with revalidation.

The Conflict Management course aims to provide substantive training to anyone working in or coming in contact with Conflicts during the normal course of their occupation.
Conflict: 3 hours Equip ability to avoid disputes and to deal with them effectively, differences between conflict & disagreement, most common causes, when difficulties arise and confidently “nip it in the bud”, different approaches, practice techniques to manage emotional conversations.
This training course will help you understand the importance of managing conflict and learn the key skills needed for success. During the course attendees will have the opportunity to consider their own situation and develop a personal approach that works for them and for their business.
