About the course:
Our Conflict Resolution Train the Trainer course has been designed specifically for the ambulance sector and to date we have trained either in the classroom or via blended learning thousands of ambulance staff and community first responders over the last 20 years!
The course is designed to equip trainers within the ambulance community with the skills, knowledge, and experience to deliver effective and compliant training to those exposed to potential conflict situations, ultimately reducing risk and mitigation.
We do this by imparting our extensive experience, providing participants with the ability and confidence to train their own staff on how to avoid conflicting situations by conducting thorough dynamic risk assessments in each situation they face.
On completion of this course, trainers are given 12 months access to our unique training materials, including presentation materials, trainee workbooks (digital or hard copy), trainer handbooks and lesson plans.
Both your trainers and the staff they train will have access to our filmed scenarios of disengagement/holding techniques.
Trainers will be required to attend a half day skills check session on an annual basis to compliantly continue to deliver internal training sessions.

Our Team and History
A successful business, established in 1994 by Paul Meek a former Operations Director of an ambulance service. Throughout Paul's career, he was exposed daily to the consequences of poorly managed risks, and this is what spurred Paul to establish Solutions Training, he wanted to bridge the visible but avoidable gaps in risk management and in particular health & safety education and the development of the equipment used to aid safer transportation of people.
Our team are all members of the “National Back Exchange” and have been contributors to various working groups on developing good practice since 1995, including research into “what constitutes effective moving and handling training” performed by the Ergonomics Department at Loughborough University and in partnership developed topic-related awards at Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 which are on the regulated qualifications framework.
We have successfully designed a wide range of training programmes to assist organisations with managing risk effectively.
Paul and his team's continued vision of improvement to managing risk by developing people and his operational experience has helped many companies and individuals improve their knowledge and technical skills, which has proven to reduce risk in the workplace.
