This course was developed for students or anyone who will be or is thinking of entering the construction industry. This training program has been developed for those who have limited experience in a construction environment.
The focus of this course is to help those that are new to construction, of all the hazards found on-site, the kinds of things that everyone else considers ‘common sense’ when they have experience working in the industry. This course is not about how to do a job safely, but more on things you should be looking for when working on a job site. We will teach them about how the other trades working may create hazards, how to identify a safety hazard and how they should deal with specific situations.
Course is available to schedule on-site at your facility, in one of our training centers or via distance learning.
This is a discussion-based session which means through visuals and discussions, the following elements are discussed in detail:

This course is a requirement for obtaining a certificate of competence, authorizing the holder to work on a construction site in Quebec. The objective of the course is to develop a general understanding of everything affecting health and safety on construction sites.
This mandatory course provides participants with an understanding of how to recognize, assess and control workplace hazards, the rights and duties of certified members, and how to conduct effective workplace
Pursuant to section 2.4.2.i of the Safety Code for the construction industry, the Health and Safety on Construction Sites course is mandatory for anyone working primarily and usually on a construction sites. This course allows students to obtain the certificate (card) awarded by ASP Construction.
NORCAT's OHS Construction Leadership for Employers training program is offered to employers and is customizable to reference employer's current OHS management system.
