Aim Of This Course / Target Group
Since 2009 the construction industry induction in WA has been based on a nationally recognised training unit of competence. Under amended regulations, in States and Territories, both types of WA cards issued through training providers will be accepted by the regulatory authority as evidence that construction induction training has been successfully completed.
Those people who have completed the previous ‘bluecard’ Course in Safety Awareness Training will not have to repeat the training. This course is suitable for any individual wishing to work in the WA construction industry.
Recognition of Interstate cards issued prior to August 2009
The course is suitable for all employees.

What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire. Whilst closed in shoes are a minimum requirement for attendance on any course, steel capped safety boots are required for forklift, dogging, vehicle loading crane (hiab) and rigging courses.

Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks. All participants will be offered morning/ afternoon tea.

This course is a basic one day confined space entry course designed for personnel whom are not required to act as a standby person, issue confined space permits, perform a confined space rescue or undertake gas testing.

Our fully qualified and highly experienced WorkSafe Trainer and Assessor will support you through the theory content and assist you to practice practical skills.
To give participants the knowledge and skills to act as a facilitator for a Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) study. HAZOP studies are useful tools to analyse changes to existing chemical/processing plants or to analyse HSE issues at the 20% and 80% design phase of new plant.
