Australian regulations state that you must complete Work Health & Safety (WHS) general construction induction training before you can start work in any construction activity.
We offer White Card training Face to Face at schools, community facilities and job active agencies on the Gold Coast, Ipswich and Brisbane as well as at our Gold Coast Campus, 6 Hayter Street, Currumbin Waters.
If you’re working in the construction industry, you need to complete a General Construction Induction Training course with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The unit you need to complete is: CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

Once you’ve successfully completed this unit, you will be issued with your General Construction Induction Training Card (previously called a White Card). You must keep this with you whenever you are on site.
Gold Coast Trades College delivers this course Face-to-Face at both its Currumbin and Ipswich Campuses. Courses are delivered from 8am – 2pm.

The Work Safely at Heights course focuses on the training and assessment in skills to perform work with a harness at heights. This may include working on an elevated work platform, roof, structure or any area where a fall hazard exists.

We offer two courses – RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in a confined space & MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres in the same program. Our program uses our purpose built confined space structure which includes entering a rainwater tank while using an inertia reel, tripod and winch
This unit covers the competency required to confine small workplace emergencies. Small workplace emergencies may include such incidents as a small fire that can be controlled using a nearby fire extinguisher; or a chemical spill.
To provide applicants with the practical skills and knowledge to safely operate a Vehicle Loading Crane (capacity 10mt tonnes and above (CV) in accordance with Safe Work Australia's National Standard for Licencing Persons Performing HRW.
