What’s Your Role As A Construction Manager?
Construction managers plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects. They have a special skillset that combines construction knowledge with project management.
Construction managers are often responsible for the following tasks:
Developing construction project budgets
Creating construction schedules and monitoring progress
Preparing contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Coordinating the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
Preparing progress reports on construction projects
Helping with accounting tasks (creating purchase orders, processing invoices, doing payroll)
Maintaining files and records
