A NSW White Card or general construction induction (GIT) card is essential for anyone who work at a construction site and is a mandatory requirement in NSW. The course is also commonly known as the White Card course and was previously known as the Green Card course.
It is designed to assist workers with evaluating worksite hazards/risks and assists workers with reporting workplace incidents to the authorities correctly.
General white card training course aims to provide awareness and understanding of rights and responsibilities under WHS law to identify common hazards and risks associated with the construction industry, basic risk management principles, and the standard of behaviour expected of workers on construction sites.
The unit of competence in this course (CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) is a core unit of CPC10120 - Certificate I in Construction in Construction. Any students seeking further education can receive a credit transfer for this qualification.
The general construction qualifications within the CPC training package are designed to prepare people for real jobs in the general construction sector.

SOT allows you to work immediately for 60 days until you receive your White Card/Construction Card, generally posted by SafeWork NSW within 30 days.
The White card ceases to be current if you have not carried out construction work for any consecutive period of two years or more.
The card fee is set independently by our RTO with SafeWork included in the course fee, i.e. you need not pay any extra fee for this card.
