DurationThis package provides training for workers and employers on recognizing, avoiding, abatement, and preventing safety and health hazards in the workplace; in order to meet the Local Law 196 40-hour requirements.
It also includes information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. This course aims to promote safety and health in the workplace and make workers aware of potential hazards on job sites.
As a requirement of Local Law 196 of 2017, the New York City Department of Buildings (NYC DOB) has specific regulations regarding safety on the job site for people working in New York City. Workers at job sites requiring a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator, or Site Safety Manager must have a total of 40 hours of safety training.
