This course provides the skills and knowledge required to test the working atmosphere, using electronic test apparatus, to find out if it is safe for the proposed work.

The purpose of an evacuation exercise is to identify any deficiencies and weaknesses in current procedures and to test the knowledge and skills of the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) members and to also ensure building occupants are familiar with evacuation procedures.

This course has been designed for individuals who work alone or as part of a team as an operator required to wear breathing apparatus in their work role.  This might be because they are working in a confined space, with hazardous gases/vapours, or in an oxygen deficient atmosphere.

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to work in accordance with an issued permit. It aims to ensure that people working under a permit to work understand the system, know the limitations of the permit under which they are working and comply with all the requirements of the permit
