Students have the option to sit JDNZ (Jazz Dance New Zealand) Lyrical medal tests. Classes are available to students who already have dance experience in Jazz or Ballet.
NZAMD (NZ Association of Modern Dance) Contemporary exams are available for students who have attained Grade 4 Jazz and/or Ballet.

Auckland West Dance Academy is a Glen Eden dance school established over 45 years ago providing high-quality dance tuition by qualified teachers. Dance classes are taught in a warm and friendly environment. Students have the opportunity to perform on stage in the annual dance concert and enter into examinations, assessments, or medal tests.
Dance styles taught are Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap as well as Body Conditioning/Technical classes, competition dancing and private lessons are available.
We offer classes for preschoolers, girls, boys, teenagers, and adults. Class numbers are restricted to ensure that each student can get the individual attention that they require.
All teachers are fully qualified and are members of RAD, JDNZ, NZAMD, and BAL. There are 3 dance studios (studio 1 upstairs, studios 2 and 3 downstairs); there is an office with a dancewear shop and a waiting area with tea/coffee facilities for parents.
