Lyrical dance is a style of dance created from the fusion of ballet with jazz and contemporary dance techniques and is a “cousin” to those styles.
Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics to inspire movements to express strong emotions the choreographer feels from the lyrics in the chosen song. Contemporary/Lyrical is available for students in Junior level & up.
Students must also take either a Ballet or Jazz class in conjunction with Contemporary or Lyrical classes.

The Australian Teachers of Dancing syllabus is used at Dance Energy where examinations are offered but not compulsory. Our Acrobatics program is also taught by qualified Acrobatique teachers.
The studio location offers excellent off street parking and back street parking (entrance to studio is via Majola Avenue). Located within a minutes walk of the beach and boardwalk... why not relax with a coffee while your little or big one enjoys learning the art of dance.
