The goal of this course is to help current and future caregivers improve personally and professionally, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to provide high quality care in a community setting.
The Caregiver program is a full time, 6-month, training program that prepares students to provide care across a variety of settings, including group homes and day service programs.
Training and one-on-one coaching for parents and caregivers of children
Caregiver Mediated Early Years focuses on teaching parents of young children techniques and strategies to support their child's development.
Using a case study approach, students discuss and develop a care plan that incorporates facilitative environments, cultural considerations, and the needs of the family and caregivers.
