This course will introduce students to the importance of negotiation strategies in supply chain management and the skills required to become an effective negotiator. Students will become familiar with the negotiation framework, negotiation tactics, and strategies.
This course will introduce students to the importance of negotiation strategies in supply chain management and the skills required to become an effective negotiator. Students will become familiar with the negotiation framework, negotiation tactics, and strategies.
A mock negotiation session will give students an opportunity to practice the skills and demonstrate what they have learned. Students will also learn about contract management, elements of a contract, and types of contracts (such as fixed price and cost-based). Purchasing law and ethics will also be discussed.

This course teaches students the legal standards of domestic and international business practices.
The course objective is to improve construction contract administration by providing education related to the understanding, administration, and enforcement of conditions of the contract during the bidding and construction phases of the project.
This session begins with an exploration of traditional approaches to contracting. Armed with an understanding of the benefits and limitations of traditional contracting, a framework for relational contracting is presented.Â
At the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of how claims arise and how to manage, mitigate and/or avoid them with proper Contract Administration and Execution.
