This training is designed for all persons who are required to safely carry out COSHH assessments in the workplace or are required to undertake COSHH awareness training to comply with legislative requirements.
DurationCOSHH applies to a wide range of substances and preparations (mixtures of two or more substances) which have the potential to cause harm to health if they are ingested, inhaled, or are absorbed by, or come into contact with, the skin, or other body membranes.
Hazardous substances can occur in many forms, including solids, liquids, vapours, gases and fumes. They can also be simple asphyxiants or biological agents. Every employer who undertakes work which is liable to expose an employee to a substance hazardous to health shall provide that employee with suitable and sufficient information, instruction and training to comply with the COSHH 2003 NI & 2002 Mainland UK Regulations.
