Each school or licensed instructor will require each student to obtain 250 total hours of training before the student performs clinical services on a client. For the purpose of this rule, one (1) credit hour equals 1 clock hours for the first 250 hours of training.
When a student has completed 250 credit hours (250 clock hours), with a minimum passing score of 80%, the student is prepared to progress to the clinic floor to perform clinical services on patrons. After completion of the first 250 credit hours/250 clock hours of Level 1 training.

School History
This school has over fifty years of consistent operation in the Stone Mountain, Georgia, vicinity since its original concept and opening in 1961. The school first operated under the name of DeKalb County Beauty College at 6254 Memorial Drive.
The school was then sold in 1994 and the owners changed the name from DeKalb County Beauty College to LaCarm Education, Inc.
In 1998, the school was acquired by the present day owners, and the school became known as Pro Way Hair School. The school operated at 6254 Memorial Drive location from 1998 until 2005.
In early 2005, construction commenced on a new facility at 5684 Memorial Drive, and the school expanded its curriculum to teach and train not only cosmetology, but also barbering, the new facility was completed in Oct. 2005, at which time the school was relocated to the current address. In 2011, an additional building was purchased and an extension location was opened at 3860 Rockbridge Road.
The original “Pro Way Hair School” opened in 1987 in Memphis, TN. In 1989, present day owners of the Pro Way Hair School, Stone Mountain, GA, purchased the school and opened and operated two schools under the name of “Pro Way Hair School” in both Memphis, TN and in Newnan, GA.
