You will study the definition of counselling and developing self-awareness through skills practice. The course introduces approaches and offers opportunities to practice listening skills - empathy, reflecting, paraphrasing, summarising and focussing.
The course is for learners who wish to progress towards further counselling qualifications, or learners who wish to study this programme in order to complement other programmes - such as health and social care, children's care, learning and development, voluntary and community work.
