This diploma is the core qualification needed to gain entry into the counselling profession and to become a professional counsellor. Throughout this qualification students will advance their knowledge of counselling theories, skills, ethical, professional and legal issues and personal development.
The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills aims to introduce learners to the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, and some of the approaches that underpin the use of these skills.
This highly interactive and experiential workshop focuses primarily on the differences between working with adults and working with young people, helping you make the necessary cognitive and emotional adjustments between working with these two very different client groups.
The course offers learners the opportunity to identify, understand and evaluate key elements of the main theoretical approaches to counselling and practice and develop a range of interpersonal and counselling skills.
This course explores the use of counselling skills and the underlying theory and is designed for people who are considering a career as a counsellor. At the end of the course you will be able to apply to do the full level 2 qualification course.
