From beginners to more advanced, this weekly 1.5Â hour class teaches kids the basics of sewing and following patterns. The teacher adapts each lesson to the skill set of those enrolled.
Join us for an intro to sewing, including a tutorial on machine basics (you can even bring your own machine to learn how to get the most use out of your particular model), and a small sewing project. Rebecca will lead you through the basics of learning to quilt. She has a lot of tips and tricks to make the quilt making process easy and enjoyable. You'll get to choose your own fabrics and learn about design and construction.
In this series of lecture and lab sessions students will learn about the fashion industry techniques used in garment sewing. Participants will be introduced to the industrial sewing machine and serger and build a reference book of samples using industry standard construction techniques.
Sewcials give you time and a place to join other "Sewcialites" for free-time sewing in our air-conditioned (and heated) workroom. With 2 ironing stations and your own 8-foot table, you'll have room to spread out. All sessions run from 10 am to 4 pm*.
