The training adheres to the guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for laypersons established by the American Heart Association, the 2010 International Consensus Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC).
The curriculum includes use of a CPR manikin and both written and hands-on skill-based instruction, practice, and testing.
