The Instructor Manual is required and is an additional fee. An affiliation fee of $200 is also due annually to cover the administrative fees associated with training and developing CPR Instructors.

The First Aid training helps students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. Intended for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire, or are required, to be certified in basic emergency medical care.

NYST’s First aid, CPR, and AED course teaches students to respond to a number of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, falls, sudden illnesses, head and back injuries, asphyxiation and heat and cold injuries. Â
The class is designed to train participants to promptly recognize several potential life-threatening emergencies (first aid), give high-quality chest compressions (CPR), deliver appropriate ventilations (CPR) and provide early use of an AED.
