This training course can be delivered in our centre or on-site at your business premises. The RTITB Crane Slinger and Signaller course will give you the skills needed to be safe and efficient at your job. This is a specialist course and therefore not all RTITB centres deliver this training.
By the end of the course, candidates will be able to attach a load to a crane, taking into account its dimensions, material, mass and centre of gravity, and communicate with the crane operator to safely lift and move the load from one position to another position and set it down.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate an awareness of other site operations, pedestrians, hazards in the environment and weather conditions, taking appropriate action to minimise risk and increase efficiency.
Additionally, candidates will be able to discuss the role of lifting plans in crane operations, and they will be able to discuss and perform pre-use inspection of slinging equipment required for operations.
On successful completion of Crane Slinger and Signaller course candidates will be issued with a certificate of training.

Slinger/Signaller Training Course is offered by Universal Training Services (Midlands) Ltd. Courses can be delivered at the customers own site or at our fully equipped training centres based in Corby, Northamptonshire and Peterborough.
The CPCS A40 Slinger Signaller (Static Duties) Novice course aims to provide you with a thorough practical and theory training in operating as a Slinger / Signaller in order to be enable the candidate to pass the CPCS Theory and Practical Tests and operate on site.
This course is aimed at people who want to gain entry into the lifting industry as a Slinger Signaller.
On successful completion of the course, the candidates will be presented with an NPORS Trained Operators Card and certificate, evidencing their abilities. They will be able to establish the weight and dimensions of loads and communicate this information to the crane operator.
The Basic Slinging & Lifting Course is designed for the operator who requires skills training in slinging, lifting and controlling of loads being lifted by a crane or using manual lifting equipment such as chain blocks.
