Course Details

The most current ASME standards were used to create this new 2020 Basic Rigging – Level 1 course which covers rigging techniques, inspections, and clarifies rigging misconceptions. Students also gain access to a library of online competency assessment forms to further enhance their learning experience.

 

Course Contents:

This Basic Rigging course covers the following topics:

  • Rigging Hardware

  • Slings

  • Below the Hook Lifting Devices

  • Hooks

  • Manual Hoists

  • Sling Hitches

  • Sling Tensions

  • Weight Calculations

 

Course Completion:

The quizzes at the end of each chapter are intended and designed to strengthen your understanding of its contents. A passing mark of 70% is required and you only have two retries of each quiz to achieve this.

Upon successful completion of this course, a unique digital certificate, valid for three years, will be available to download and print. On successful completion of the exam, the student will receive competency assessment forms that can be used by the employer.
