Creating Web Pages With HTML5

This 2-day hands-on project based course provides participants with the opportunity to put together a professional looking website and attain a firm foundation and understanding of HTML5 structure.

This HTML5 course is designed for end-users with emphasis on layout considerations and techniques to make your web pages visitor friendly and easy for maintenance. Planning considerations (key to a successful website) that enable visitors to regard your website as useful are discussed in class.

The course will also focus on layout using the DIV tag instead of the traditional table for layout. You will learn how to use Cascading Styles Sheets (CSS) Context Selectors/Combinators to standardise the website’s look and feel. This understanding of the DIV tag and CSS will serve as a prerequisite for your further learning of webpages that are responsive, for mobile phones, and smart devices.

Upon completion of this course, you would able to read and understand HTML codes, identify key HTML5 tags and use the various tags (codes) to design and maintain your website.
