This coursework unit covers the foundations of digital graphic design and branding. It’s a chance to be creative with concept art, image manipulation, and idea generation.
Our Cambridge National Award in Creative iMedia has been developed for home educated students interested in Digital Art & Games Design. The specification was updated in 2022.
The OCR National Award in Creative iMedia is a GCSE equivalent qualification, similar to a BTEC that involves the completion of three assessed units:
R094: Visual Identity & Digital Graphics
This coursework unit covers the foundations of digital graphic design and branding. It’s a chance to be creative with concept art, image manipulation, and idea generation.
R096: Animation
Once we have developed our digital artwork skills, the Animation unit looks into the creative animation industry where students design & develop an animated short film of their own using one of a range of professional techniques. Learners use the professional tools Krita and Wick Studio, developing an e-Portfolio for coursework.
R093: Creative iMedia In the Media Industry
This is a mandatory unit that is completed at the end of the course. This exam unit investigates what it’s like to work in traditional and new media sectors, drawing from both coursework units.
