This programme is aimed at photographers who have recently upgraded their own cameras to Mirrorless or DSLR camera systems and wish to progress away from shooting in full auto mode.
Leicester College has a long tradition of teaching outstanding digital photography, printing, design, online editing, and publishing courses. Our professional studios, darkrooms, and digital editing suites (along with a little help from lecturers and supervisors) provide outstanding facilities for full- and part-time students.
This course is designed for you if you are looking to expand your knowledge of Mirrorless or DSLR cameras and learn more advanced photography skills without using automation.
Through a series of classroom-taught lessons, practical exercises and photo walk we will show you how to make the most of your camera’s capabilities and take better pictures.
Here at Leicester College, we offer a comprehensive range of further education courses and post 16 training, in support of technical, vocational and higher education qualifications across a broad range of subject areas, including ESOL, from post 16 entry to university level to around 19,000 students, who range in age from 14 to 75.

Our dedicated photography tutor has experience teaching many students.We offer a free taster lesson to all new students and the the opportunity to come in to practice with our facilities during the week for all students.
This course will enable you to experience the practice of shooting in a professional photographic studio to gain more experience and confidence, which will benefit and improve your overall photography skills and knowledge.
This course will look at all aspects of the camera settings, and more importantly how to shoot in Manual Mode.
