Creative Writing course is designed to include a variety of writing styles to encourage writing for pleasure and enjoyment. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced writer, you will be given advice and feedback in a supportive environment to help develop your skills to use your mind and imagination to produce different texts such as poetry and short stories. The course will give you an insight into how authors create their characters and settings.
How will I be supported in my learning?
We offer support to help people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. If you have a disability, learning difficulty, health problem or mental health difficulty that may affect your learning or participation, please contact us for further advice. Once you start the course, if you have further queries and/or support needs, please talk to the Tutor.
About Us
Funded by the Education and Funding Agency, Leicestershire Adult Learning Service (LALS) provides formal and informal learning programmes for all adults across the County of Leicestershire.
LALS is a service within Leicestershire County Council’s Adults and Communities department. Our programmes are delivered at venues across the County, including Adult Learning centres, libraries, community centres, and some courses are also offered online. The service is regulated by Ofsted and is currently graded a GOOD service provider.

Leicestershire Adult Learning Service had a full Ofsted inspection in May 2015 with a short inspection in March 2018 where we were rated “Good” on both occasions.
