You will look at various forms of creaative writing including fiction and non-fiction, poetry, autobiographical writing and novel writing.
Together you will explore what ‘good writing’ is and you will be able to get feedback on your own work in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
By the end of the course you will have a better idea of what you want to write and what your strengths and areas for improvement as a writer might be.
This is a fun and friendly class aimed at giving you increased confidence in your abilities as a writer. No previous experience is required.
About the Tutor
Shirley-Anne McMillan is an author of contemporary Young Adult fiction.
She lives in Co Down with her family. Shirley-Anne is an experienced tutor having taught courses and workshops to all ages and levels of experience with the John Hewitt Society and The Crescent Arts Centre among others. Her fourth novel, Grapefruit Moon, was published by Little Island in August 2023.
