One of the most memorable moments in my short-lived career was playing alongside my Father, Derrick Phillips. We opened the batting together and I was captained to victory by him at the tender age of 14.
My Dad has always been my inspiration in my career. I was never coached by him but always received priceless advice on and off the field, and still do. I always thought I would be a Professional Cricketer, but due to injury that never happened.
When I decided to open the Academy and I realised how fulfilling it is to see a young cricketer improve session after session, I knew this is why… I’m still so involved in the game, just from a different perspective.
I am a Qualified Cricket South Africa Coach & Australian Coach and I have had the privilege to train with the South African Team, as well as the Australian Team.
4 years Later and we are growing daily. It is an absolute joy and honour to work with young aspiring cricketers daily and to be part of their growth and development on and off the cricket field.
