Cutting on the Stand (Drapery)

This class is currently only offered as a private sewing class (on day/time to suit you, dependent on time availability).  It includes how to pad a form/dressmakers dummy to your desired size and then how to make a basic pattern from draping fabric on the form to make a simple bodice or skirt.

You will need a form that is smaller than required size (but not too small unless cutting a corset pattern), a decent amount of wadding, long pins, s few meters of stretch jersey and a few meters of calico (amount of calico is dependent on pattern you want to cut) A full list of notions and quantities is available on request.

Advanced Drapery

Follow on from drapery course. You must have completed the initial drapery course to do this course. 

Now you have a dummy made to your size and you have made basic blocks you can drape whatever you want.
