This course is for anyone wishing to understand their strengths and development areas and those who are seeking assistance to progress their careers and convey their abilities confidently; projecting a positive impression to the employer.
It is designed to help you focus on your skills, experience, and personal motivators, and how these can be used for personal and career development.
We will consider some of the main barriers to getting the ideal job, how to overcome them, and also the factors that can improve or dent your confidence, enabling you to take charge of your career development and plan and achieve your career goals.
Module 1 - How to break out of your comfort zone
Understanding yourself and what holds you back, find the breakthrough to push on to your desired career path. Discover what motivates you and will help drive you forward, what are you looking for in your career.
Module 2 - Creating a high-impact CV
Understanding what the components of a high-impact CV are, and what is your potential employer looking for. Demonstrate your skill sets in both technical and personal areas in the best way possible. Create a lean mean CV that will get you that interview.
Module 3 - Interview Preparation
What are the things you need to do before going for an interview, research the business, Know yourself (SWOT), prepare for anticipated questions, your personal presentation, and what are the questions to ask the interviewer?
Module 4 - Creating a positive first impression
The key things you need to have in place to create a positive first impression: your appearance, attitude, body language, and tone of voice.
The key things the interviewer expects from you. Interview formats and questions, what to expect from each. Dealing with interview nerves, how best to stay calm under pressure. Action planning for your future interviews, what are your next steps.
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
