This training, recognized by the Financial Markets Authority, is aimed at people who wish to work in the field of damage insurance, whether for individuals or businesses. The training will prepare them to promote insurance products, analyze a risk and close a transaction.

Customer service is at the forefront of this job function. In addition, people will be able to receive claim files, carry out investigations and make settlements.

The AEC in damage insurance prepares the person for the exams of the Financial Markets Authority with a view to obtaining a practicing certificate in damage insurance.

 

At the end of their training in damage insurance, the student should be able to:

  • Analyze and underwrite a risk;
  • Provide customer service in different work functions;
  • Promote damage insurance products;
  • Conclude a transaction, receive and direct the claim;
  • Settle a claim file and ensure follow-up.

 

Training Aims:

This program allows the student to master all work functions related to damage insurance, both in the personal and business sectors.

During his training, the student acquires general skills relating to communication in organizations, business accounting, the application of a customer approach, quality management techniques as well as the use of a computer workstation. At the end of their training, the student will be able to take the Financial Markets Authority exam.

 

Admission Requirements:

  • People interested in enrolling in this program must have completed a secondary or vocational studies diploma (DES or DEP) or have training deemed sufficient by the college. People interested in registering for this program must also meet one of the following conditions:
  • Have interrupted their studies for at least two consecutive sessions or one school year.
  • Be covered by an agreement concluded between the college and an employer or by a government program.
  • Have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies spread over a period of one year or more.
